Fall Special Olympics!

This year, we are proud to say that we are hosting not one, but TWO Special Olympics! The fall Olympic games were held on November 7, and we can say with confidence that it was a success. There were two main sports, soccer which was held on the field, and basketball, which was held in the gym. Athletes that were not a part of either of the schools two teams, were able to participate in mini skill games relating to one of the two sports; or if the sports did not appeal to them they were able to cheer with Dana Hills amazing pep squad! Each athlete was assigned to a volunteer buddy, and their buddy stuck with them all day through all events, lunch provided by the Corner Bakery, and finally the medal ceremony which took place in the gym.Thank you to everyone who came out to support, it means more than you know to us and the athletes. See you in the Spring for our second Special Olympics!
