Beach trash

Innovation for Change

The purpose of this club is to explore and improve an understanding of various engineering concepts and disciplines, such as civil engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, and aerospace engineering. Activities may include guest facilitators and projects and experiments.  There is also a focus on how each of these fields of engineering can be used to make both a positive impact on society and the environment.  To accomplish this we will discuss alternative ways to engineer various inventions.

Service Projects

Club projects will strive to serve the public interest while utilizing engineering concepts and tools that form the framework for that project or experiment.  For example, the civil engineering project may consider the impact on an underserved community.

First Semester Service Project:  Walk along San Juan Creek and Doheny State Beach, collecting trash caused by rainfall and disposing of it properly.
