Dribble For The Cure

The Board of Trustees desires to provide a safe school environment that allows all students equal access and opportunities in the district’s academic and other educational support programs, services, and activities.  The Board prohibits, at any District school or school activity, unlawful discrimination, including discriminatory harassment, intimidation, and bullying of any student based on the student’s actual or perceived race, color, ancestry, national origin, nationality, ethnicity, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or gender expression or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

Our project

At our event, we first started by meeting the players and kids who have pediatric cancer. Then we dribbled basketballs from UCLA's soccer field to their basketball court with the kids who had cancer. The event was eye opening to many in our group and a moment that will stay with us forever. After we finished dribbling, awards were handed out for those who raised the most money. Surprisingly, our group raised the third most money around 5,000 dollars and shows our goal was accomplished. Despite our success we are motivated to do better next year and raise more money for this cause.

About us

Our club worked with UCLA to raise money for pediatric cancer. We raised money through donations by family, close friends, and people in our community who want to help out. In the end, our group raised the third most money for this cause and our goal was completed.
