Choose The Right

Who we are

Choose the right club is about developing habits of being good citizens in our members and the school through service to the community and commitment to an organization. (Also, service is a fun pastime in general)

Our service project over Fall semester was making and sending Holiday cards to Military members out of the country. Here are a few pictures!

Club Constitution

ARTICLE I: Choose The Right (CTR) Club. Making the right decisions.

ARTICLE II: The purpose of this club is to develop habits of being good citizens in our members through service to their community and commitment to an organization.

ARTICLE III: Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome to join the Choose the Right Club.

ARTICLE IV: Club Officers will be voted upon at the first meeting by the club members.

ARTICLE V: Offices will be: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Historian. President leads club, finds service activities to perform for club (and bring treats). Vice assists in the president's duties. Secretary assists in notifying members of upcoming meetings. Historian takes photographs to upload to the CTR website.

ARTICLE VI: An officer will be removed from office if they are absent for more than two meetings without logical cause (tests, sickness, or sports are logical and not counted towards that count).

ARTICLE VII: Fundraising will be done through culture fair if needed. Money will be spent on the materials needed for the service projects.

ARTICLE VIII: This club does not involve any high risk activity and is done on campus. To prevent possible injuries (which is highly unlikely) members will be instructed on the methods of completing the project before action is taken, and must listen to the direction from the president or club advisor.

ARTICLE IX: If the club votes with ⅔ majority the constitution may be changed.

ARTICLE X: This club will do a service project for most months, as it is the purpose of the club. Examples are valentines cards for an Aegis living center, Military cards sent to Afghanistan, and making baby hats.

ARTICLE XI: To avoid exclusion of students, the CTR club will meet in the same spot every month at the same time so that students will be easily able to come if so desired. The club also encourages club members to bring their friends as to further integrate the student body.

The Board of Trustees desires to provide a safe school environment that allows all students equal access and opportunities in the district’s academic and other educational support programs, services, and activities.  The Board prohibits, at any District school or school activity, unlawful discrimination, including discriminatory harassment, intimidation, and bullying of any student based on the student’s actual or perceived race, color, ancestry, national origin, nationality, ethnicity, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or gender expression or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.
