Summer School

Electronic referrals for summer school are currently being sent to parent emails. Please check your email regularly (including SPAM and JUNK folders) and follow the directions to complete summer school registration. Your student will lose their spot if registration is not completed. If you have not received the initial CUSD registration email, please have your student contact his or her Academic Advisor. 

CUSD Summer School

  • June 26, 2019- July 25, 2019
  • Coursework is online. Some courses require weekly tests taken IN PERSON at CAPO VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL. 
  • Students can enroll in a maximum of two courses
  • Mandatory Orientations are assigned based on the course enrolled in. If student does not attend orientation, he/she cannot do the summer school course!
    • A-G college prep remediated course: June 26, 27, or 28
    • non A-G classes are 100% online. Mandatory orientation can be completed online.

Available Courses

**Students may take a maximum of two classes to remediate a D or F**

  1. Health: All students may take for original credit or remediation (100% online)

CSU/UC Approved A-G credit:

  1. A-G Social Science: World History, US History
  2. A-G Biology with additional in-class weekly lab meetings required
  3. A-G English English I-III
  4. A-G Math: Geometry, Algebra I or II (Geometry available for acceleration)
  5. A-G World Language: Spanish I or II (for remediation only)
  • Students will be required to attend a mandatory orientation on one of the following days: June 26, 27, or 28.
  • These dates are based on the course the student registers for and cannot be changed.
  • Failure to attend the orientation will result in being dropped from the course.
  • Course work can be completed at home, with the exception of exams.
  • All tests must be taken in person.  A 1 hour testing time per week is reserved for each student. Daily open seating testing times are available for students with schedule conflicts.
  • Drop Deadline is July 17, 2019
    • Students that do not drop by the deadline will receive a grade on their CUSD transcript.
  • All coursework must be completed by July 25, 2019 at 1pm.
  • Some students may be able to complete the class prior to July 25, 2018.

Registration

  • Deadline to register is May 30, 2019. 
  • Register through your current Academic Advisor.
  • Enroll early. Space is limited. Enrollment may close prior to May 30, 2019 if program is filled.
