The Giving Pantry

CLUB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Giving Pantry club is to involve students in volunteering at a homeless women's shelter known as the Isaiah House. The Isaiah House is located in a low-income neighborhood in Santa Ana and has a multitude of volunteering opportunities and events that include, cooking meals for the women at the shelter and participating in a jewelry making event in which members are able to help the women at the shelter design quality jewelry for themselves. If members are not able to attend certain events, there's always a way to contribute! By raising donations of canned goods, cleaning and hygienic supplies for the free community pantry that is being installed in front of the Isaiah House, members can help serve people in the surrounding neighborhood who may not have these staples for living.

UPCOMING MEETINGS

The Giving Pantry club will have their first meeting on Tuesday, November 16th. Meeting will be held on the third Thursday of every month during lunch in Room 892!
