PROM 2017

Dana Hills happily announces...

 

Prom will be held at THE CITY NATIONAL GROVE OF ANAHEIM in Anaheim on Saturday, April 29th, 8:00pm to 11:30pm. 

 

The THEME OF "Star Wars", voted upon by the Student Senate, has officially been established as Dana Hills's first experience with live action storm troopers and various characters from the renowned film series.

 

Available for photo opportunities, these characters (brought to us by the 501st legion) will be present at the venue from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Come have your picture take by professional photographers or just snap a selfie with a character.

 

The traditional photo booths, airbrush tattoo artists, ad flipbook memories will be available for your enjoyment, as well brought to us by Full Spectrum Entertainment

 

Something equally amazing the City National Grove of Anaheim has to offer are the unlimited, decadent, gourmet desserts, so make sure to take a snack during your break from the CRAZY dance.

 

DJ provided by Atmosphere Events.

- this year, we'll be accepting song requests during lunch break in order to ensure that every dolphin's voice is heard in the DJ process of our Star Wars dance!

 

Walk into the intergalactic empire full of mesmerizing light sabers, authentic storm troopers, and other infamous characters. We gratefully welcome you to our Star Wars themed Prom of 2017. It's going to be a spectacular night, so don't miss out on this once in a lifetime experience!

To add on to the Star Wars experience at this year's prom, Prom 2017 will also provide a DJ from

Atmosphere Events! This is an event production and DJ institution that has previously put on a wide array of events, from school dances to a multitude of celebrity music festivals.

Travis Morra, Design and Project manager of Atmosphere Events, is an alumni of DHHS and has been personally assisting with Prom planning to ensure that this night is not one to forget!

Your ID Card is Your Ticket to the Dance-Don't Forget It

ALL DANA HILLS STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR CURRENT STUDENT ID CARDS TO CHECK INTO THE EVENT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, PLEASE STOP BY THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE TO PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT FOR $10. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR ID CARD WITH YOU AT THE DANCE, A REPLACEMENT ID CARD WILL BE PRINTED FOR YOU AND YOU WILL BE ASSESSED A $10 FEE TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

All Dana Hills students may purchase their own ticket on line through Friday, April 21, 2017 at 3:00pm. At no time can a Dana Hills students purchase their guest’s ticket online. Guest tickets must be purchased at the Activities office only.

 

The standard pricing for Prom tickets is $70 for DHHS students with an ASU Activity card. Any DHHS student without the Activity card and all approved guests are $85.

 

Prices go up by $15 per ticket on April 20 & 21. Late prices are now $85 for DHHS students with an ASU Activity card. Any DHHS student without the Activity card and all approved guests are $100. To avoid these late charge, please purchase your tickets by April 19.

 

 

No Sales Available After 3:00pm on April 21! We must call to confirm our numbers and as per our contract with the City National Grove of Anaheim, and we may not add people after sales end. Sorry.

2017 Prom

Saturday, April 29, 2017   8:00 pm to 11:30 pm

 

  1. The 2017 Prom will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the City National Grove of Anaheim, located at 2200 E. Katella, Anaheim, CA 92806. The dance begins at 8:00 p.m. and end at 11:30 p.m. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 9:00 P.M. UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR, MR. NEDLER. Parents will be notified if their child does not check in. If you are unable to attend, please call the Activities Office (during school hours) 949–496–6666, ext. 2200.
  2. Students may not leave the dance until 10:30 p.m. Those who leave at 10:30 p.m. or after will not be readmitted.
  3. Semi-Formal attire is required. Ladies may wear dress slacks and blouse or dresses, and gentlemen must wear dress shirt and dress slacks along with a coat and tie. Beach type sandals, combat boots, shorts, corduroy and jeans are not allowed. Dress code applies to school dances. Please visit http://www.dhhs.net/wf2017 for more details.
  4. According to Board Policy 5144.1, "Students are to be recommended by the school principal for expulsion if they are found: Possessing, using, or being under the influence of any controlled substance, alcoholic beverage, or intoxicant of any kind." Students who are in violation of this policy will be suspended and recommended for expulsion. The sheriff will be notified, and the parents will be called to escort their child home. A BREATHALYZER MAY BE USED TO TEST STUDENTS SUSPECTED OF BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.
  5. Students may be checked by private security for illegal or controlled substances prior to entry to the dance area. Any student who refuses to be checked will be denied entry.
  6. ANY vehicle, including limousines, can be searched. ALL PASSENGERS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND GIVEN CONSEQUENCES FOR ANY ILLEGAL STUBSTANCE IN THE VEHICLE.
  7. Trading or selling of bids is not allowed.
  8. All students must present their student ID at the registration table. All guests must present their valid high school ID or a valid picture ID such as their driver's license to be admitted to the dance.
  9. Students removed or denied entry will not be given refunds. In these cases, parents will be called.
  10. Student who are dancing inappropriately may be removed from the dance and lose privileges to attend future activities and disciplinary actions may be taken.
  11. Students who violate the terms of this contract are subject to suspension from school and loss of privileges to participate in any co-curricular and extracurricular activities including athletics, senior activities, and possibly commencement exercises.
  12. No changes will be accepted to this contract.
  13. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED BY 3:00pm ON FRIDAY, APRIL 21, 2017. Please note the pricing structure for this event.
  14. No refunds will be issued after 3:00pm on April 21, 2017.

    THE PURCHASING STUDENT MUST HAVE A VALID ASU CARD WHEN THE PURCHASE IS MADE IN ORDER TO GET DISCOUNTED PRICE. GUEST CONTRACTS MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE GUEST TICKET IS PURCHASED.
